Rwanda has emerged from the shadow of genocide and has much to offer visitors, most notably the tracking of endangered mountain gorillas in the lush Virunga National Park, which extends across the peaks and jungle-covered slopes of the volcanic Virunga Mountains. Other major tourist attractions include expansive Lake Kivu, ancient Nyungwe Forest with its rich population of primate species, and the game-rich savannah lands of Akagera National Park.

DAY 1-3
Arrive in Kigali, Rwanda where you will be met and transferred by helicopter to Virunga Lodge in the Virunga National Park. For the next 3 nights this will be your base and activities from the lodge include gorilla tracking, cultural dance performances, golden monkey tracking, a visit to Dian Fossey’s grave, hiking up a volcano, a visit to the mwiko primary school, relaxing on the shores of lake kivu, and community and nature walks.
DAY 4
Travel to Kigali via helicopter where you will be collected for your visit to the Genocide Memorial. After your visit you will be transferred back to the airport in time for the check in of your flight.
